Narrowboats

Douglas boatyard is a traditional working boatyard established around 1900 to build and repair 'Nobbies', timber fishing boats once used extensively on the Irish Sea. In recent years, the boatyard has specialised in building and repairing all types of boats for recreational use, from canal cruisers to ocean-going yachts. Over recent years, Douglas Boatyard has also become recognised as the home of top quality narrowboats where each boat is bespoke built to the customer's own design and specification.
