Pontoon Berths, Jetty Moorings and Storage Ashore
Charges (inc VAT) from 1 January 2007

12 months (paid in advance) £110.00 per metre
6 months (paid in advance) £60.00 per metre
3 months (paid in advance) £34.00 per metre
Per calendar month £12.75 per metre
Per week £4.00 per metre
Per day £0.70 per metre
(To convert feet to metres, multiply by 0.3048)
Notes:
  1. Storage ashore under cover - charged at double the berthing rate.
  2. Boats on the slipway - charged at double the berthing rate.
  3. Multi-hulls - 50% surcharge for storage ashore (standard rate afloat).
  4. Long term live-aboards - only by prior agreement. A surcharge of £40 per month applies.

Boatyard Storage:

  1. Empty cradle/trailer - £8.00 per month
  2. Mast stored away from vessel - £8.00 per month
  3. Untaxed cars - £50.00 per month
  4. Shed, containers and caravans - (only by prior agreement) by length, £50.00 per month minimum charge.

The above rates include:

  • Free use of electricity (for small power tools and lighting only, not for heating, not for live-aboards).
  • Use of water points.
  • Use of toilets and showers.
  • Car parking.

Terms:

  1. The discounted rate for advance payment will only apply when payment is received on or before the first day of the arrangement.
  2. Annual berthing fees may be paid by three equal monthly installments for no extra charge, as follows:- First payment on or before the first day of the arrangement. Second and third payments by post-dated cheque.
  3. Payment of berthing fees by credit card is welcomed but will attract an additional charge of 2%.
  4. Berthing fees paid in advance are, subject to certain conditions, transferable. However, no refunds will be given.
  5. All other payments are due within fourteen days of the date of invoice. Invoices that are not settled on time will attract interest charges at 2.5% per month.
  6. All accounts to be settled prior to the vessel's departure.
  7. Third party insurance cover must be effected and maintained for ALL VESSELS stored or moored in Douglas Boatyard.
  8. Live-aboards will only be accepted by prior arrangement when their on-board facilities are considered adequate for live-aboard purposes. All electricity for live-aboards will be via a metered supply and charged extra.
  9. With the exception of live-aboards and other customers with metered supplies, all boats will be disconnected from the electricity supply when unattended - please ensure your boat is adequately protected for winter storage.
  10. No items shall be left in Douglas Boatyard without prior arrangement and any unauthorised occupation will result in the disposal of the property. Douglas Marine Ltd will accept no responsibility for any loss so suffered.
  11. Customers are required to keep the area around their boats clear of rubbish. If appropriate, boatyard operatives will clear away customer's rubbish without warning and the customer will be charged for this work.
