Douglas Boatyard is a traditional working boatyard located in Lancashire in the North West of England. The boatyard employs skilled and experienced shipwrights able to carry out the repair and maintenance of all types of craft, and particularly those of timber and grp construction.
In recent years, the boatyard has carried out major boat repairs and refitting work on a number of classic yachts, including the full rebuild of a McGruer 46. Currently, a Royal Mersey Mylne is undergoing major repairs and refitting, in the process of which she is being converted back from a cruiser to full racing class.
Douglas Marine Limited are also able to install and service inboard diesel engines and are Beta Marine, Yanmar, Shire and Mercruiser dealers, as well as being OEM dealers for Mercury/Mariner, Yamaha, Suzuki, and Tohatsu outboard motors. Boat stern gear can also be serviced or replaced
Douglas Boatyard is also an International Paints Authorised Paint Application Centre and Osmosis Treatment Centre.
Other work regularly undertaken includes insurance repairs, yacht re-rigging, keel re-bedding, and all types of maintenance and refitting work.
